Professional Experience
Sandra Finley has planned, organized, and implemented
fund-raising campaigns for many human service, cultural, recreational,
and economic development organizations. Through careful planning
and research, Sandra has helped raised over $20 million in private
and public funds to help clients meet their capital, program,
equipment, and endowment needs. She writes and coordinates the
design of a full-spectrum of written material from press releases
and management training materials to case statements and grant
proposals.
Sandra
has been the backbone to the formation of the Allegheny Trail
Alliance, a task force that is developing a comprehensive bike/hike
trail from Pittsburgh to Washington, D.C. She has been closely
involved in the development of its Master Implementation Plan
and the fund-raising strategy to meet the needs of this phased,
multi-million dollar campaign. She has also been closely involved
with the establishment of the Human Services Delivery System
Task Force which supports activities that promote cooperation
and collaboration among human service providers in Westmoreland
County.
Since
Sandra joined Teeter Associates in 1988, she has worked with
many clients. Recent clients have included: Adelphoi, Inc.,
Alternative Program Associates, East Suburban Program Center—YMCA
of Pittsburgh, Eastern Westmoreland Development Corporation,
Redstone Highlands, Regional Trail Corporation, Westmoreland
County Food Bank, and Westmoreland Economic Development Corporation.
Prior
to Teeter Associates, Sandra honed her writing and marketing
skills through advertising and public relations positions and
as a free-lance journalist. She has also worked as a substitute
teacher and preschool teacher.
Professional/Community
Affiliations
Sandra
is a member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW)
and the Westmoreland County Historical Society. Sandra was awarded
the Greensburg Area Branch AAUW Outstanding Woman in 1989-90
and 1992-93. She is a former member of Westmoreland Girl Scout
Councils’ Board of Directors.
Education
Sandra
received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism from
the University of Mississippi. She holds a minor in Philosophy.
