Robert (Bob) Teeter, Ph.D.
Founder of Teeter Associates, Inc.
Bob Teeter established Teeter Associates, Inc. in 1985. His expertise and success in planning, consensus building, community partnering, organizational start-up, management training, and resource development attracted many non-profit and for-profit organizations to the firm.
Prior to Teeter Associates, Bob worked as a teacher, guidance counselor, administrator, and manager in basic and higher education. He served as St. Vincent College's Dean of Institutional Advancement, leading efforts for the College's annual fund, alumni giving, major gifts, planned giving, and government grants. He also planned and coordinated the move of the College from being a college for men to a coeducational institution. Prior to serving as the first lay dean, Bob served as St. Vincent's Director of Counseling, Career Planning and Placement.
Bob's doctoral thesis, "Participative Management and Selected Teacher Characteristics as Related to Innovative Classroom Practices," was published by University Microfilms, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He received his Ph.D. in Counselor Education (Supervision, Program Development) from the University of Pittsburgh and held an M.A. from West Virginia University and a B.S. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Bob was a leader in positive management practices and always emphasized building partnerships with clients to better understand and respond to their needs. It is through collaboration that Teeter Associates has and continues to best help to clarify and define needs and objectives to ensure maximum benefit from our firm's planning and resource development services.
We at Teeter Associates continue Bob's good works throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania. Like Bob, we work
closely with our clients to create a customized approach to successfully enhance the outcomes of planning and resource development efforts.
